As the Administrator for the Great Lakes Midwest Regional Food Business Center (GLM-RFBC) her role is to oversee post-award and manage grant program activities to support the Center and its partners in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and the Menominee Tribe in Wisconsin.

Although she has worn many hats over the past 20+ years (Grants Proposal/Award Manager, Project Manager, Operations Director, Office / HR Manager, Marketing & Communications Manager, Native American Tribal Community Advocate, Budget Strategist, Events Planner, Community Outreach Coordinator and Board Trustee) her favorite hat to wear is as a Grant Program Manager. She enjoys collaborating with team members to succeed in meeting grant program deadlines and deliverables.

Her previous work experience includes program and grant management with Michigan State University Research Foundation, Grand Valley State University, the City of Grand Rapids, Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the International Business Incubator Association. Although she recently joined the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems in March 2024, she has 27 years experience working within a university setting which included collaboration on several grants and initiatives. She also has obtained certification for business incubator management and worked with many entrepreneurs and startups to provide them the environment and resources they need to bring their product to market and/or help their businesses to grow.

She is an advocate for the Native American Tribal communities and supporting efforts to address economic disparities within local, state and regional communities.

In her free time, she enjoys golfing, gardening, walks with her Bernese Mountain dog and sharing time with family.
